The Creed: We Believe, I Believe
The Faith Professed
10 week
series
From the earliest times of Christianity, faithful Christian people have
confessed and prayed the Creed. Every Sunday in our Eucharistic celebration,
after hearing the Word of the Lord, we respond with a profession of what we
believe. This belief is
contained in what we call the Nicene Creed. Even though we pray it often, we may
not understand and appreciate the profound significance and meaning of the
Creed. One of the offerings of adult catechesis this year will investigate and
discuss the beautiful richness and truth of the Christian faith,
embodied in this traditional confession of the Church. Please join us in delving
further into understanding the Creed.

In the Footsteps of Jesus:
Our Scriptures provide Catholics with
the primary foundation for Catholic social teachings. Scripture and
the documents of our Pope and Bishops address why the Church and Catholics
are called to be active in building a more just world. Our Sunday Scripture
provides focused direction and emphasizes what our work for justice should
reflect.
Session offered
Wednesday evenings, 6:30-8:00 pm Feb. 2 through
March 30. |
